Many Nova Southeastern University employees in the university’s coral reef research programs are based outside of Florida, including Hawaii. These sites and their teams play an important part in the university’s mission, from protecting our oceans’ health to restoring our coral reefs.
That’s why NSU has partnered with Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA), an independent licensee of Blue Cross and Blue Shield, to offer comprehensive health care benefits specifically for Hawaii-based employees.
HMSA Plan Overview
Through the HMSA plan, NSU employees can receive a range of health care
benefits, including the following:

- Pharmacy: benefits include coverage for prescription drugs
- Other Benefits: life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment, and accelerated death benefits
