Taking Control of Your NSU Student Account
As you tackle academic challenges this semester, time flies. But remember, you won't be able to register for the next semester if there's a balance on your NSU account. Here are some tips to manage your NSU student account:
- Regularly check SharkLink's "My Account" page.
- Look for any holds that might block registration.
- Review your finances to ensure all aid requirements are met for timely disbursements.
If you need help with outstanding balances:
- Enroll in an NSU Payment Plan.
- Explore student employment options.
- Apply for a Federal Direct PLUS Loan if eligible.
Navigating Refunds
Students may qualify for refunds of financial aid, loan credits, or overpayments on their student account. Refunds can also stem from various account transactions, including adjustments to financial aid, tuition, fees, and withdrawing from classes. Choose between convenient direct deposit or traditional paper checks for receiving your refunds.

News and Announcements
Eligible students may now access their Form 1098-T for 2024 in SharkLink. The data reported on your Form 1098-T is for tuition, fees, scholarships, and grants paid to your NSU student account during the 2024 calendar year, not the academic year. The supplemental information is solely for your information. Only the data on the form is reported to the IRS.
Current students may access their Form 1098-T as follows:
-
Log in to SharkLink at https://sharklink.nova.edu.
-
Select “My Account” from the left navigation.
-
In the lower right corner under “Tax Forms” click “View 1098-T.”
-
Select a Tax Year (2024) from the drop-down menu.
-
Print for your Records.
Alumni who no longer have SharkLink access may log in to Self-Service Banner (SSB) at ssb.nova.edu using their NSU username and password. (Select “Enter Secure Area” > “Student” > “Student Records” > “Tax Notification.”)
Please note: NSU does not mail paper 1098-T statements.
All institutional charges, such as tuition, fees, and housing, if applicable, must be paid in full or satisfied with payment arrangements by the published deadlines.
Undergraduate students who do not have their payment or payment arrangements finalized will have their class registration canceled.
Payment arrangements include any one or more of the following, as applicable:
- awarded financial aid, including grants, scholarships, and Federal Direct Loans (including Subsidized, Unsubsidized, and Parent PLUS loans)
- cash, check, credit card, money order, or electronic transfers
- certified alternative/private loans
- Florida Prepaid funds
- Other third-party payments
- Tuition waivers
- Federal and state educational funding programs
- Veterans and GI Bill® benefits
- finalized NSU payment plan
We encourage all NSU Sharks to take action on financial aid requirements promptly and to make arrangements for payment by the deadline.
