Tutoring Services
The Tutoring and Testing Center (TTC) is housed within the College of Undergraduate Studies (COUS) and is charged with providing a variety of academic support services to all NSU students. TTC offers individualized tutoring in more than 40 subject areas. TTC promotes active, independent learning that seeks to assist students in developing critical thinking skills. The office’s professional staff uses a student-centered holistic approach, which considers the “whole student” when discussing academic success strategies.
Navigate
Tutoring appointments can be scheduled through the Navigate system, found on SharkLink. Here is a short tutorial on how to use the Navigate system to schedule 45-minute individualized tutoring appointment:
Course Offerings
Please review policies listed below prior to tutoring appointment:
- Students can schedule up to three appointments per course, per week.
- Students can attend one tutoring session per subject per day.
- Students can have five tutoring sessions in any given week.
- Student can schedule one appointment per class at a time.
- Cancellations and rescheduling should be done at least three hours prior to the scheduled appointment.
- Late arrivals, 10 minutes or more, may need to be rescheduled.
- Students should come to tutoring sessions with all necessary books, notes, and reference materials, and be prepared to ask specific questions.
