Each month, the Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement accepts nominations and recognizes an outstanding RSO. Nomination forms may be submitted by students, faculty, or staff members who wish to recognize a Registered Student Organization for its efforts in a specific month. Members of a RSO are allowed to self-nominate their organization. A RSO of the Month must be an organization that has hosted an event or multiple events that have enhanced the NSU community in the past month. The RSO also should represent excellence in an area that relates to at least one of our five Core Competencies for Student Organizations. These Core Competencies are: management, foundation, recruitment/retention, communication, and engagement.
Each month, the president of the selected Registered Student Organization will be notified and presented with a certificate on behalf of the organization’s achievements. The RSO will be featured on the Student Leadership and Civic Engagement Office’s social media pages. The RSO will be awarded Fin Points. Additionally, the organization’s logo, mission, and a list of accomplishments will be posted for the following month on a bulletin board on the 2nd floor of the Rosenthal Building.
To nominate a Registered Student Organization, please submit the form below. All completed nominations should be submitted by the last Friday of every month before 4:30 p.m. Any questions?
