Established by NSU's 6th President, George L. Hanbury II, Ph.D., The President's 64 is an elite body of student leaders whose purpose is to strengthen the relationship between Nova Southeastern University and its community. This organization is comprised of 64 hand-selected undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, representing different constituencies of NSU's diverse student population. Members of The President's 64 provide targeted feedback to the President, serve as student ambassadors and representatives at University events.
Membership is limited to 64 currently enrolled NSU undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Members must be actively engaged in their respective academic communities, maintain GPA of 2.5 and remain in good academic standing as per NSU's Student Handbook.
The President's 64 members possess strong leadership and communication
Once selected, members commit to attending an annual training session and are expected to provide at least 20 hours of service per academic year.
Selection is based on a nomination, application and interview process. NSU faculty, staff and current President’s 64 members may elect to nominate an NSU student by completing the President's 64 Nomination Form.
Nominations that result in a student submitted application are reviewed each winter semester by a committee and eligible candidates are then contacted for an interview. Current members of The President's 64 are invited to return annually as long as they are currently enrolled at NSU, maintain eligibility requirements and uphold the policies outlined in The President's 64 Membership Agreement. All selections are based on nomination only.
Please nomination form will open on January 6, 2025 and the deadline to submit a nomination is February 6, 2025.
