Global Engagement

The Center for Student Leadership and Global Engagement provides engaging and educational opportunities for Nova Southeastern University students so that they can be active members of a globalized community. Through thoughtful discussions and authentic experiences, students will learn valuable skills related to communication and cultural competency.

All our NSU students are invited to take part in any of our global engagement initiatives. A few ongoing examples of our programming initiatives are the following:

• International Education Week: A weeklong celebration of NSU's global community that includes events that highlight the distinct cultures and experiences represented within our community.
• Shark Bites International Food Festival: A collaboration with local food vendors to showcase cuisines from around the world.
• Parade of Flags: An annual parade through campus where all students are invited to display flags, regalia, and music from different nations.
• Chat N' Chews: A free lunchtime discussion to share opinions on different global topics.
• Global Village: An educational event where students showcase the history and culture and of various countries and nations.

 

Global Mosaic Student Council

The Global Mosaic Student Council (GMSC) is a student-run organization within the Center for Student Leadership and Global Engagement. The mission of the GMSC is to create a positive, educational, and engaging experience for all constituents at Nova Southeastern University. Through student centered programs and events, the GMSC strives to educate and engage the NSU community so that they may be globally informed upon graduation.

All NSU students are welcome at all GMSC events.
