NSU Medi Futures Virtual Shadowing Program
Every Fall & Winter semester, the Pre-Health Office hosts a Virtual Shadowing Program known as Medi Futures NSU. Medi Futures NSU virtual shadowing program consists of 30+ presentations each semester from a wide array of healthcare professionals (physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, physical, occupational, and speech therapists, social workers, etc.).
The Pre-Health Office wants NSU students to have a good understanding of each career pathway in healthcare and the virtual Shadowing program provides a unique way to provide such exposure to the industry.
All sessions are recorded & students must take short content quizzes at the end of each week. At the end of the semester, a certificate of 40 virtual shadowing hours is provided to students who meet the attendance and participation requirements. We believe exposure to the full breadth of healthcare professions provides an appreciation for the complexities of healthcare and how many professions play a role to provide excellent care to patients.
