Health Immersion Labs
The Pre-Health & Pre-Professional Advising Office at NSU collaborates with NSU Graduate programs and other knowledge experts to host Pre-Health & Marine Science focused Simulation Labs.
The Simulations consists of realistic looking Pre-Health & Marine situations with equipment and/or patient actors/graduate students, which allows learners to practice and develop clinical expertise without any risk of harm led by knowledge experts.
Simulation Labs provide hands on experience in healthcare and marine/environmental science field through simulated experiences in person and via Virtual Reality. Each simulation consists of realistic looking Pre-Health & Marine/Environmental Science situations with equipment and/or patient actors, which allows learners to practice and develop clinical expertise led by knowledge experts in the field.
The goal is for students to learn more about a certain career by test driving it through direct hands on experiences. For students who already know this is the industry or career choice for them it is a great resume builder to showcase direct experience and skills needed in that career path for graduate school.
Simulation labs are a very unique opportunity for full immersion into a career in healthcare and marine science, which provides NSU students a competitive advantage in their path for success.
Health Immersion Labs allows students to connect with NSU graduate programs & other knowledge experts to learn and apply clinical knowledge from all areas of healthcare. No experience is needed to participate as the labs are built to provide exposure into the field through guided instruction.
