Undergraduate Transfer Credit

The easiest way to view equivalencies for courses from many institutions across the United States and select foreign institutions is to check the interactive online Transfer Credit System. 

Transfer Credit System

NSU will transfer a maximum of 90 degree-applicable credits toward a degree, including credit for the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP), proficiency exams, prior experiential learning (work experience), military service, and dual-enrollment college-level credits.

Graduate Transfer Credit 

Select NSU programs may grant college credits for learning experiences outside the class room. 

  • For transfer credit at the master and specialist level, the number of transfer credits is 12 or less, as determined by the individual program or college.
  • For transfer credit at the doctoral and professional levels, the number is limited such that the total transfer credits do not exceed two-thirds of the required credits to complete the degree program, or less as determined by the individual program or college.
