Nova Southeastern University's Office of Public Safety is dedicated to ensuring a safe and secure campus environment for all members of the NSU community. We offer a range of services to assist you, including lost and found services, safety escorts, and vehicle assistance. Additionally, we encourage you to explore the various NSU resources available to support your overall well-being.

Lost and Found 

The NSU lost and found center is located within the NSU Public Safety Security Operations Center at the Campus Support Building on the Fort Lauderdale/ Davie Campus. It's open Monday through Friday, except holidays, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Phone inquiries are welcome 24/7. To inquire about or report any lost or stolen item, call NOVALERT at (954) 262-8999.

Safety Escorts

NSU Public Safety provides walking escorts upon request to anyone in the NSU community, on NSU property limits, 24 hours a day. Please call (954) 262-8999 and advise the on-duty dispatcher of the location where an officer can meet you.

Vehicle Assistance 

Stuck with a dead battery or locked out of your car? Public Safety is available 24/7 to assist NSU community members within campus property limits in Fort Lauderdale/Davie and East Fort Lauderdale. Our services include jump-starts and unlocking vehicles. While we cannot change flat tires or perform mechanical repair work, we can help with minor issues like adding air to a tire (as long as it's not damaged). To receive assistance, you'll need to sign a release of liability form.

Locksmith

NSU's commitment to campus safety extends beyond security personnel and surveillance systems. Our dedicated locksmith team provides expert services to safeguard our facilities and protect our community. From high-security locking hardware to complex access control systems, we employ state-of-the-art technology to ensure the utmost security.

• Center for Student Counseling and Well-Being: Offers a range of mental health services, including individual, couples, and group counseling, as well as psychiatric services, to help students achieve optimal well-being.

• Student Care Support Team: A multidisciplinary team designed to support students' well-being and academic success by connecting them with campus and community resources.
