Information and Advising Sessions
Attend Information Sessions: Our information sessions are your gateway to the exciting world of Sharks Abroad. Learn about program options, financial aid and scholarship opportunities, credit transfers, and the overall Sharks Abroad experience. These are every week in the Office of International Affairs. Meet is in the Horvitz Administration Building Room 253 (2nd floor)!
- Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
- Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
- Friday at 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
- Monday 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- Thursday 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
You can also schedule a one-on-one session with a Sharks Abroad Peer Adviser.
Attending an information session is required before scheduling an individual advising appointment.

Application Deadlines
Submit your NSU Study Abroad application by the dates below.
- Summer, Fall, and Academic Year Programs: March 1
- Winter/Spring Programs: October 1
Deadlines may be flexible in certain cases. Contact sharksabroad@nova.edu to request an extension.
Important Note: Don't make any financial commitments to your chosen program until you receive your official NSU study abroad acceptance email.

Sharks Abroad offers a diverse range of study abroad programs to fit your academic interests and global aspirations. We partner with reputable third-party providers who act as your liaison between NSU, the host university, and the local community. These providers offer a variety of program options and ensure you receive academic and social support throughout your journey.
NSU Sharks Abroad has official affiliation agreements with the following third-party providers:
- Academic Programs International (API)
- Cultural Experiences Abroad (CEA CAPA)
- International Studies Abroad (ISA)
- The Education Abroad Network (TEAN)
- Semester at Sea (SAS)
While we encourage utilizing our affiliated providers, you can choose a non-affiliated option. However, please be aware that NSU cannot guarantee credit transfer or financial aid eligibility in such cases. For more information, contact sharksabroad@nova.edu.

A school of record provides oversight of the academic process, including reviewing syllabi, approving course offerings, evaluating instructor qualifications, and ensuring academic quality. Essentially, it is the school that will help you get academic credit for your degree at NSU. The School of Record is where your transcripts will be coming from. It may be different from the school you enroll in through a 3rd party program
Each of our program providers have different schools of record. You will need to know your corresponding school of record if you desire to receive academic credit for your study abroad program. Please see the attached PDF for more information on your program’s school of record. This is an updated list that is subject to change and will be updated as necessary.
