Nova Southeastern University’s Healthy Lifestyles Guided Self-Change (GSC) program offers a unique, short-term, evidence-based, non-12-step alternative treatment not available elsewhere in Florida. Recognized by the Surgeon General’s Report and the American Psychological Association, GSC empowers individuals to take control of their lives and make positive changes.
Founded in 1984 by Drs. Linda and Mark Sobell, GSC has a proven track record of helping individuals overcome substance abuse and lifestyle challenges. Now, led by Dr. Jessica J. Ruiz, a Florida Licensed Psychologist board-certified in Addiction Psychology, the GSC program continues to provide personalized and supportive care.
