The Guided Self-Change Clinic, a specialty clinical program at Nova Southeastern University' Psychology Services Center, offers a unique short-term, evidence-based, non-12 step alternative treatment, Guided Self-Change, not available elsewhere in Florida.
The Program Helps People
- Guide their own change
- Set their own goals (for alcohol low risk drinking or no drinking)
- Strengthen their motivation and commitment to change
- Use their strengths and resources to solve their problems
- Learn problem solving skills that can be applied to other situations
- Develop a sense of self-reliance
The Program Includes
- Assessment
- Evidence-based treatment
- Individual sessions
- Readings and homework
- Services are available in English and Spanish
- 9 am-8 pm (Mon-Thurs); 9 am-4 pm (Fri)
- A sliding fee scale is available
