A fresh take on NSU's newest premier dining program
Based on student feedback using focus group studies and surveys. We have collaboratively created a Food Hall to envelop a mix of local and artisanal-style cuisines that are sure to satisfy our hungry Sharks!
Our focus is to bring modern style concepts that have the ability to compete with local offerings and capture our Shark’s attention while maintaining a high-quality, handcrafted approach.

Our approach is to have a wide variety of retail concepts that offer premium items made fresh daily and cooked to order with the ability to customize to the guest’s preference.
The locations are designed to highlight fresh ingredients as our Chefs prepare meals live in front of our guests with engaging service!

| Sambazon | This brand is the first fully certified organic and fair trade açaí in the world. Shark Dining was serving this product for over 2 years at Fresh Corner in the University Center, with its growing popularity, we decided to bring a fully branded location to NSU's campus was the best move! Sambazon offers: Smoothies, Juices, Açaí Bowls, and Overnight Oats. |
| Sushi Maki | Sushi Maki is a local favorite, established in 2000, and they've been on a roll spreading the joy of what great sushi should be; fresh, responsibly sourced, and tasty combinations - an experience you'll want to have again and again. Sushi Maki offers: Stir-Fry and Poke Bowls, Bento Boxes, Sushi Rolls, Fried Rice, And Appetizers such as spring rolls and edamame. |
| Mako Shark Shack | Nostalgic Eats is making a comeback in the social world, with over 30 million hits this year using the hashtag #NostaglicEats. Taking that trend onto NSU's campus, this concept is a throwback to the '50s shack experience, the Shark Shack delivers big, bold flavors such as: Beef and Veggie Burgers, Chicken Sandwiches, Wings, Chicken Tenders, and Milkshakes. |
| Ciao Bella | Ciao Bella features a classic menu of traditional pasta dishes crafted with traditional ingredients but also introduces a layer of excitement with customizable personal and whole pies. Ciao Bella offers: Pasta Entrees, Personal and Whole Pizza Pies, Dessert Pizzas, and Garlic Knots. |
| The Bake Shop | This location offers a reminder to slow down and indulge by baking unique sweet and savory items. All items will be made in-house using local and highly-quality ingredients. The Bake Shop offers: Cake Slices, Cinnamon Rolls, Specialty Cookies and Brownies, Cupcakes, and more! |
| Garden Heaven | This location will specialize in bringing nature's bounty to your plate! Fresh salads are well-balanced, hand-tossed, and always served with homemade dressings. Proteins will be warmed in front of the guests using the Plancha action station. |
| Spoonful | Hand-crafted soups will be prepared daily from fresh, local ingredients. From creamy, rich bisques to light minestrones, delve into these delicious 'spoonfuls' for a variety of flavors! |
| The Sandwhich Den | Focused on small batches, Local Purveyors, House Smoked, and Cured Meats. All bread served on-site are made in-house with artisanal recipes. |

As a student favorite, we are excited to bring Starbucks to HPD! Your HPD Starbucks will be a full licensed store which includes Starbucks proprietary mobile ordering system and Stars Rewards program!
HPD will have a solid plan during the exciting construction of the NEW Food Hall, Starbucks, and Amazon Just Walk Out Market. The I.C.U. (Intensive Cooking Unit) is made up of flexible dining solutions to fit the needs of students as the building undergoes a major transformation. The plan is split into two segments, inside and outside of HPD.
Inside:
- One-Price-Dining will consist of a Catering-like entree to be paired with a salad, side, and beverage. The menu will rotate and can be found here (to be linked to DOC once the menu is published).
- HPD Kiosk Menu Expansion will have expanded grab-n-go offerings, Kosher offerings will be found here. HPD Kiosk will also have expanded smoothies, Acai, and Parfait bowls.
- Autonomous Dining is a new offering that will be available 24/7. Just Baked offers a wide menu variety, menu can be found here (to be linked to DOC once the menu is published). Ice Box Pantry offers high-quality and healthy grab-n-go offerings that are available at any meal segment.
Outside:
- Pop-up Market Carts will be positioned in high-traffic areas around the building. These carts will offer hot-handheld items, snacks, and beverages.
- Food Trucks will be positioned on the south side of the building. One truck will be a local offering, while the second truck will consist of a voting program, where students can vote on menus they would like to see for the next menu rotation.
