Facilities and Administrative (F&A) Costs:  Commonly called Indirect or Overhead Costs. Per Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Rate Agreement - F&A costs are calculated as a percentage of the salaries and wage base. Rates below will be effective for a period of four years, beginning July 1, 2011.

Budget Information (Personnel)  

Standard Mileage Rate: 56.0 cents per mile for travel beginning January 1, 2014 unless otherwise restircted by the agency.

NIH Salary Cap: $181,500 effective January 12, 2014. This applies, but is not exclusive to: NIH, SAMHSA, AHRQ, CDC and HRSA.
