S.T.E.M. fun for the whole family! Drop in for an introduction to STEM concepts through DIY activities, demonstrations an experiments. Recommended for school-aged children with caregiver. Dress for a mess. If you’ve got a science project, we’ve got you covered! Join us for this event, featuring our extensive collection of science project books and online resources as well as fun science demonstrations and experiments, suitable for all ages. Day for Children Health Fair

Please come share the day with us in celebrating all children! Nova Southeastern University (NSU) will again welcome children and their families as the “A Day for Children” health fair celebrates 14 years of service to the community.

Children 15 years of age and under (including infants and toddlers) and their families. NSU’s Health Care Centers will be providing FREE assessments for hearing and balance, vision, speech-language, dental health, nutrition tips, and more! Remember to sign up for a NSU Alvin Sherman Library card as well. Having an Alvin Sherman Library card let’s you access the resources of this academic library plus enjoy all of its rich cultural and special programming for children and adults!

FamilySearch: Genealogical Society of Broward County Program Monthly Meeting

Learn more about genealogy with fellow enthusiasts!
FamilySearch is a free mega-database not only has billions of genealogical records, but also many features users are often unaware about or know how to use. Mark Fearer will share the many underused resources on FamilySearch.org that can help you break through some brick walls.

The Genealogical Society of Broward County (GSBC) meets monthly at the NSU Alvin Sherman Library on the first Sunday of every month except when there is a holiday. Meetings begin with an open lab from noon to 1:15 PM. The open lab is followed by a general meeting at 1:30 PM with the program presentation beginning at 2 PM in room 2053. African American Special Interest Group meeting at 3:30 PM. All meetings are open to the public. Visit www.gsbcfl.org for more information about GSBC. Parking $1.00/hour on the first level of the parking garage.

Meetings are free and open to the public.
