Welcome to the April 2016 Alvin Sherman Library Enews. This year's National Library week theme is "Libraries Transform". What an appropriate theme for a place that really does help transform people's lives. On a daily basis, the NSU Alvin Sherman Library fullfills the dreams of its more than 100,000 plus public library card holders and 22,000 plus students. From the young child who saw magic at last month's SeussFest or the student who Aced an exam after studying at the library, there's no greater gift than the one a library can give...Dreams! |

Zak Morgan – Children’s Musician Saturday, April 9, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Musician, songwriter, storyteller, and Grammy-nominee Zak Morgan’s unique brand of children’s music delivers songs and poems with wit and charm that inspire and tickle the funny bones of children and adults. “Morgan sounds a bit like singer Cat Stevens, and his storytelling is an inspired cross between Dr. Seuss-style word games, and the sly edginess of Shel Silverstein. In short, it’s children’s music that adults can love.” – Rick Bird, Cincinnati Post. This event is part of the Live! at the Sherman Library series made possible by a gift from Charles P. Ferro Foundation. First Floor, Program Room 1017 |
