We hope you and your family are having a SUPER summer.  Our summer reading programopened to smashing reviews and is now in full swing! The month of July is filled with lots activities and programs.  Come try your hand at flower arranging or paper marbling or simply enjoy the cool sounds of live Jazz in the Gallery.  Maybe you'd like to update your computer skills at our computer camp or   just take it easy by reading a good book.  Whatever your choice, come join the NSU Alvin Sherman Library all summer long!

NSU Professor Tennille Shuster teaches you how to paint on water! We will view a demonstration of the traditional Japanese marbling technique, suminagashi, after which participants will experiment transferring colorful inks to paper to create one-of-a-kind prints. Space is limited.

Jazz in the Gallery: Paul Ayick Jazz Performance

Paul AyickTrumpet player Paul Ayick performs mainstream jazz compositions using the traditional jazz quartet format which include: trumpet, upright bass, drums, and features legendary Florida pianist Dolph Castellano . The quartet will perform both Mr. Ayick’s original compositions as well as selections from the American Song Book including Berlin, Porter and more.

Genealogical Society of Broward County Program Monthly Meeting
Sunday, July 12: 12:00 PM -4:00 PM

The Genealogical Society of Broward County meets monthly at the NSU Alvin Sherman Library on the first Sunday of every month. Meetings begin with an open lab from noon to 2 PM followed by a board meeting and program. Meetings are open to the public.
