My NSU Identity

My NSU Identity is the digital identity for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and FinAid users. My NSU Identity consist of a username and a password.

Financial Aid Applicants

If you have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), but have not yet been accepted in any of the NSU colleges or programs, you will need your account information to access your Financial Aid status in WebSTAR.

Prior to login to WebSTAR you are required to setup your account password. Passwords must have:

• A minimum of 8 characters in length.
• Passwords should contain a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numeric digits, and special characters (at least 3 of the 4 classes).

Requires a text-enable (SMS) cell phone number or external email provided during the FINAID application process.

If you are not successful in receiving a verification code via SMS or external email, please contact the NSU Help Desk (954) 262-4357 for further assistance with setting your password.

Students

Your username is automatically generated and assigned to you when you become a new student. Prior to login to any of the NSU systems your need your username, and you are required to setup your account password. Passwords must have:

• A minimum of 8 characters in length.
• Passwords should contain a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numeric digits, and special characters (at least 3 of the 4 classes).

Student email addresses are in the format of username with the addition of @mynsu.nova.edu domain. (e.g., username@mynsu.nova.edu).

Faculty And Staff

Faculty and staff usernames are generated when the onboarding process has been completed by Human Resources. Your department will notify you once the process is completed. Prior to login to any of the NSU systems your need your username, and you are required to setup your account password. Passwords must have:

• A minimum of 8 characters in length.
• Passwords should contain a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numeric digits, and special characters (at least 3 of the 4 classes).

Faculty and Staff email addresses are in the format of username with the addition of the @nova.edu domain. (e.g., username@nova.edu).
