Some of the areas we assist with include classroom and testing accommodations, housing accommoda- tions, access to disabled parking, and finding textbooks in alternate formats. We can assist the student with obtaining necessary documentation and will consult with the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, as needed. Because skills and experiences differ significantly from those of the more traditional student, student-veterans may find it necessary to transfer and translate those skills into terms that are more marketable to a potential employer. Our staff members provide a variety of other services including drop-in advisement, workshops, on-campus employer visits, and employer networking opportunities. NSU
