VIEWPOINT n 7 Elizabeth Brennan, Ed.D., currently serves as the associate head of academ- ic affairs. She has been in that role for the past 11 years. Brennan has been part of the NSU University School family since 1976 and is most recognized for her ability to translate the school’s mission and philosophy into practice. She started as a Lower School teacher, became the Lower School language arts coordinator and reading specialist, and ultimately, was named the Lower School director in 1987. In 2006, she was promoted to her current position, where she is responsible for school curriculum, accreditation, and profes- sional development. In addition to this role, Brennan teaches at NSU at the master’s, special- ist, and doctoral levels at the Abraham S. Fischler College of Education. She teaches in the fields of educational leadership, organizational leadership, child and youth studies, elementary education, and reading.
