Junior kindergarten and kindergarten students will participate in spring writing sessions, creating their own works using imagery and simple sentences. Lower School teachers are energized and passionate about this program and are proud of the effort the students are putting into their writing as they learn to implement effective strategies and develop a confident mindset about writing. “I really enjoy watching my students grow as independent writers through the Great Write Shark,” said fourth-grade teacher and team leader Elizabeth Haglund, M.S. “They are genuinely proud to turn in their final projects.” n “Our goal is to encourage our students to become great storytellers.” —Cory De La Fuente
