Each qualified individual who meets the academic and technical standards required to enroll in and participate in NSU University School’s programs shall be provided with equal access to educational programs in the most integrated setting appropriate to that persons’ needs through reasonable accommodation. Requests for accommodations will be considered on an individual basis. Requests for accommodations must be supported by appropriate written documentation of recent medical, psychological, or educational assessment data administered by a qualified professional. Classroom instruction is designed to provide content understanding and application of content. Student occasionally accesses extra help, is able to complete outside assignments without assistance from others, and cognitively process the ideas and content at high analytical levels. Classroom instruction is designed predominantly to provide application opportunities. Student is able to independently access and master assigned materials and cognitively process the ideas and content at high analytical levels, and is prepared to engage in meaningful discussion/ application of the information.
