3 Cleveland Clinic Florida—College of Pharmacy Cleveland Clinic Florida is a nonprofit, multispecialty, academic medical center that integrates clinical and hospital care with research and education. With locations in Weston, Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs, Parkland, West Palm Beach, Wellington, and Palm Beach Gardens, Cleveland Clinic Florida has more than 250 physicians with expertise in more than 55 specialties. The medical campus in Weston is fully integrated and includes diagnostic centers, outpatient surgery, and a 24-hour emergency department located in the state-of-the-art hospital. Cleveland Clinic Florida is the No. 1 hospital in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale metro area, according to the 2020–2021 ranking of Best Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report and is part of a region that now includes Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital and Cleveland Clinic Martin Health. Broward Sheriff’s Office—College of Psychology Under Sheriff Gregory Tony’s dynamic leadership, the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) is one of the most accountable, progressive, and respected public safety agencies in Florida. With approximately 5,700 employees, including more than 2,800 certified deputies and more than 700 fire rescue professionals, BSO is a full-service public safety agency responsible for law enforcement, detention, and fire rescue services within Broward County. At Tony’s direction, BSO has implemented a host of initiatives focused on building stronger relationships and making a positive difference in Broward communities. BSO has been aided in that goal through its long-standing partnership with Nova Southeastern University. Together with NSU students and faculty and staff members, BSO is making great strides in providing for a safer and stronger Broward County. Naples Community Hospital Healthcare System—NSU Fort Myers Campus Naples Community Hospital (NCH) Healthcare System, a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, is a not-for-profit health care system in Naples, Florida. NCH consists of two hospitals with a total of 713 beds and is an alliance of 775 physicians and medical facilities with dozens of locations throughout Collier County and Southwest Florida offering nationally recognized, quality health care to the community. NCH’s mission is to help everyone live a longer, happier, healthier life. NCH Healthcare System collaborates with Nova Southeastern University to develop future health care professionals through the utilization of student clinical experiences. NSU students present themselves as professional and educationally prepared to care for patients within multiple disciplines at NCH facilities. They assist NCH in maintaining its core value of providing excellence in every patient experience. Broward Health—Ron and Kathy Assaf College of Nursing As one of the largest public health care systems in the nation, Broward Health has been providing high-quality, compassionate care to South Florida and beyond since 1938. Broward Health offers a variety of health care services, including Level I trauma centers, an award-winning children’s hospital, comprehensive cancer care, joint replacement, cardiovascular services, comprehensive stroke care, maternity care, and a network of community health care centers. The health care system is composed of more than 30 locations throughout Broward County, with 1,584 licensed beds and a team of more than 1,600 active medical staff members and 8,000 employees. As a teaching organization, Broward Health is committed to supporting the Nova Southeastern University clinical student program with hands-on clinical placements. Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County—Shepard Broad College of Law Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County has been recognized as a growing and dynamic organization that personalizes the human and social needs within the legal framework. It has been renowned for its leadership in responding to the community’s needs since its inception in 1949. Legal Aid’s dedication and success within the community is due to successful collaborations forged with partners like Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law. During a year of unprecedented crisis and workload, third-year Law School students successfully assisted with an overwhelming wave of eviction and housing-related matters. The diverse student pool seamlessly and professionally integrated into the Legal Aid client service delivery system with exemplary skill, drive, commitment, and integrity.
