The questions focus on the candidate’s experience, basic knowledge of the chosen field, and passion for the profession. The interview session will last approximately 30 minutes. Dental Medicine Students interviewing for Dual Admission to the Doctor of Dental Medicine program will have the opportunity to visit the College of Dental Medicine and tour the facilities. The associate dean and/or college faculty and admission representatives will conduct formal interviews in groups of five or less students, and the questions will be focused to evaluate the character and core values of all candidates. Application materials, test scores, and transcripts will be reviewed in advance of the interviews. The interview and tour will last approximately one hour (30 minutes for each). Developmental Disabilities Students interviewing for Dual Admission to the Master of Science in Developmental Disabilities program will interview one-on-one with a faculty member in the Abraham S. Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice. The questions will focus on the candidate’s experience, basic knowledge of the chosen field, and passion for the profession. The interview session will last approximately 30 minutes. Health Informatics Students interviewing for Dual Admission to the Master of Science in Health Informatics program will have the opportunity to visit the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine. The questions will focus on the candidate’s experience, basic knowledge of the chosen field, and passion for the profession. Human Nutrition Students interviewing for Dual Admission to the Master of Science in Nutrition, Professional Practice Concentration program will have the opportunity to visit the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine. Two faculty members from the Department of Nutrition will be conducting the formal interviews. The questions will evaluate the candidate’s knowledge of the nutrition field, academic experience, communication skills, and involvement in activities outside of the world of academia. The interview session will last approximately 30 minutes. Information Systems Students interviewing for Dual Admission to the Master of Science in Information Systems program will interview one-onone with a faculty member in the College of Computing and Engineering. Law Students interviewing for Dual Admission to the Juris Doctor program will have the opportunity to visit the College of Law. The Assistant Dean of Admissions will conduct formal, one-onone interviews. The questions and discussion will focus on the candidate’s personal qualities, interest in the field of law, and previous involvement in activities and interests outside of the classroom. The interview session will last approximately 30 minutes. Marine Science Students interviewing for Dual Admission to the Master of Science in Marine Science program will have the opportunity to visit the Oceanographic Center and tour the wonderful facilities. The associate dean and/or faculty in the Halmos College of Arts and Sciences will conduct formal interviews in groups of five or less students, and the questions will be focused to evaluate the critical thinking skills of all candidates. The interview and tour will last approximately 90 minutes, plus travel time. National Security Students interviewing for Dual Admission to the Master of Science in National Security Affairs and International Relations program will interview one-on-one with a faculty member in the Halmos College of Arts and Sciences. The questions focus on the candidate’s experience, basic knowledge of the chosen field, and passion for the profession. The interview session will last approximately 30 minutes. Occupational Therapy Students interviewing for Dual Admission to the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (O.T.D) program will have the opportunity to visit the Dr. Pallavi Patel College of Health Care Sciences. Occupational therapy faculty members will conduct formal interviews either oneon-one or in a small group of two or three. The questions will focus on the candidate’s knowledge of and experience in the field, as well as previous involvement outside of the classroom. The interview session will last approximately 30 minutes. Optometry Students interviewing for Dual Admission to the Doctor of Optometry program will have the opportunity to visit the College of Optometry. The associate dean and/or admission representatives in the college will conduct formal interviews in groups of three or less students, with individualized time designated for each student. The questions will be focused on the perseverance and passion for the profession, time management, and interpersonal skills. The interview session will last approximately 30 minutes.
