2 STUDENT GUIDE PREMIER PROGRAMS INTERVIEW SUMMARIES Dual Admission Programs Allopathic Medicine Students interviewing for Dual Admission to the Doctor of Medicine program will have the opportunity to visit the College of Allopathic Medicine and tour the facilities. The associate dean, college faculty and/or admission representative will conduct formal interviews in groups of six or less students. The questions will evaluate candidates’ passion, focus, and commitment for the medical profession and for the dual admission program, as well as ability to work collaboratively in a case-based learning environment. Application materials, test scores, and transcripts will be reviewed in advance of the interviews. The interview and tour will last approximately 60 minutes. Anesthesia Students interviewing for Dual Admission to the Master of Health Science in Anesthesia program will interview with the program director in the Dr. Pallavi Patel College of Health Care Sciences, either one-on-one or in a small group of three or less. The questions will be focused on the candidate’s practical medical experience, basic knowledge of surgical procedures and related duties, and overall patient advocacy. The interview session will last approximately 30 minutes. Audiology Students interviewing for Dual Admission to the Doctor of Audiology program will have the opportunity to visit the Dr. Pallavi Patel College of Health Care Sciences. An audiology faculty member will conduct formal interviews with candidates in a small group of two or one-on-one. The questions focus on the candidate’s interest in NSU and the audiology program, previous personal experiences, and current issues in health care. The interview session will last approximately 30 minutes. Business Students interviewing for Dual Admission to the below business programs will have the opportunity to visit the H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship. The associate or assistant dean, or a faculty member, will conduct formal interviews in groups of three or less, with individualized time designated for each student. The questions will focus on communication skills, teamwork, and how students will impact the university community.
