Prior to joining GSCIS, he was with the Department of Computer Information Systems at Baruch College, City University of New York. His publications appear in journals such as Management Science, Journal of the American Statistical Association, IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, Discrete Applied Mathematics, Journal of Systems and Software, Operations Research Letters, Optimization Letters, Pattern Recognition Letters, Environmental Management, Journal of Organizational Computing, and Annals of Operations Research. Mukherjee enjoys wildlife photography, particularly in the Serengeti ecosystem in Tanzania and Kenya; in Indian national parks with vestiges of tiger populations; and locally in the Everglades, Big Cypress, and Biscayne National Parks.
