Farquhar Honors College Campaign Priorities

HONORS INITIATIVES | $200,000 Our supplemental programming expands student learning beyond the classroom while welcoming the greater community to engage with NSU. Distinguished Speakers Series Leaders in diverse fields visit campus to lecture, participate in panel discussions, book signings, and meet with Honors students in small-group seminars. Past speakers include heads of state, Nobel Prize winners, writers, artists, actors, filmmakers, social activists, and medical doctors. Undergraduate Student Symposium Open to all NSU undergraduate students, the symposium showcases their outstanding research and creative works. Featured projects can lead to further research, publication, or conference presentations. Past symposium winners have explored their family genetics, deconstructed a great American novel, analyzed the thought behind free-form dance, and sought to contribute to cancer research. Supporting these initiatives helps: • Expand student research and creative works • Fund student travel expenses to attend and present at conferences • Attract renowned and relevant guest speakers to campus HONORS EXPERIENCE | $200,000 Offering far more than a selection of distinctive courses and programs, the Farquhar Honors College fosters a supportive community and an environment fueled by the spirit of intellectual exploration.
