Opportunities include: • Named endowment to support and expand the general library collection • Diverse discipline-specific materials • Spanish-lanuage materials OUR LITERACY INITIATIVES | $1 MILLION Promoting youth and adult literacy reflects the mission of the NSU Alvin Sherman Library. The library seeks to offer engaging, comprehensive literacy programs to the South Florida community and local families. To help establish and develop these initiatives, the library aims to attract knowledgeable, experienced, dedicated, and creative leadership personnel through the support of endowments and other donations. Opportunities include: • Endowed position to direct youth literacy programs and services • Family literacy programs • SeussFest! • Cultural Arts Series OUR LEARNING SPACES | $1 MILLION NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library has become a hub for special university and community events and programs. The demand to use the library’s modern space is now exceeding its capacity. The library seeks to expand the fourth and fifth floors to better serve existing events and programs, while creating the space and opportunity for additional special collections, interactive centers, archives, and audio-visual production centers.
