26 | Pharmacy FINAL ENTRY DETAILS ENGLISH PROFICIENCY Proof of English proficiency, if applicable, is required of nonnative English speakers. Applicants who took their prerequisite courses in Puerto Rico are not required to submit proof of English proficiency. The following standardized tests currently satisfy College of Pharmacy English requirements for nonnative English speakers: 1. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) toefl.org —minimum score of 80 on the Internet-based test or 213 on the computer-based test 2. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) ielts.org — minimum score of 6.0 on the test module 3. Duolingo englishtest.duolingo.com — minimum score of 105 on the Internet-based test. Scores must be no more than two years old at the time of the interview. Candidates may also demonstrate English proficiency by successfully completing a baccalaureate, master’s, or professional degree in the United States, or two college-level English composition courses at a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. FOREIGN COURSEWORK Coursework taken at foreign institutions must be evaluated for U.S. institution equivalence by an approved National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) organization, such as one of the services listed below.
