IN PHARMACEUTICAL AFFAIRS ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS NSU’s M.S. in Pharmaceutical Affairs program bases its selection of candidates on • academic performance • personal interviews • written applications • letters of recommendation Requirements for all applicants (unless specifically stated otherwise) include 1. a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university , earned prior to matriculation A baccalaureate degree in a science field, such as biology, biochemistry, chemistry, bioengineering, health care, or related majors, is acceptable. 2. a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (recommended at least 2.5) 3. two letters of recommendation from a preprofessional committee If such a committee does not exist, two letters of recommendation from science professors or one letter from a science professor and one letter from a liberal arts professor are necessary. Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) or Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores are recommended, but not required. For those applicants who choose to submit official scores from the PCAT or GRE, scores must be no more than three years old at the time of application. FOREIGN PHARMACY GRADUATES Foreign pharmacy graduates may be eligible for admission with the following: 1. a Bachelor of Science degree or a bachelor’s degree in a related health care field 2. a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (recommended at least 2.5) from a regionally accredited institution See details under foreign coursework on page 26. Applicants interested in earning a preferred admissions interview for the Advanced Standing Pharm.D. program for the following year will need a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and must complete any outstanding prerequisite coursework at a regionally accredited college or university.
