PERSPECTIVES • WINTER/SPRING 2013 35 PHYSICAL THERAPY • TAMPA We are pleased to announce that Melissa Johnson, D.P.T. , a 1999 M.P.T. graduate and 2012 T-D.P.T. graduate, has been appointed as an adjunct professor for the HE-D.P.T. Program. Dr. Johnson is a certified wound-care specialist through the American Board of Wound Management. In her role as the clinical manager of wound care and hyperbarics at Piedmont-Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, Georgia, Dr. Johnson was integral in the development of a new hy- perbaric oxygen therapy service. The hospital’s ribbon-cutting cer- emony to open the chamber and multidisciplinary wound center was held in 2012. She also serves as vice president of the Wound Management Special Interest Group for the Clinical Electrophys- iology and Wound Management Section of the American Physical Therapy Association. Melissa Lazinski, D.P.T., PT, OCS , assistant professor and di- rector of clinical education for the HE-D.P.T. Program, was named president of the Teaching and Learning Academy housed within the College of Health Care Sciences in Fort Lauderdale. Dr. Lazin- ski, formerly known as Melissa Riba, was wed last May in a beaut- ful outdoor ceremony. Robin Galley, D.P.T., PT, OCS , director of clinical education for NSU-Tampa, joined the faculty team in the Hybird Entry- Level Doctor of Physical Therapy (HE-D.P.T.) Program. Dr. Gal- ley has more than 10 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic and sports PT settings. Kimberly Williams, M.P.H., M.S.M.S. , who joined the CHCS staff as the clinical support coordinator, also teaches health care ethics at St. Petersburg College. Azanna Haynes, M.H.S. , has joined the HE-D.P.T. Program as a student work-study office worker. PT-TAMPA FAMILY Updates ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT: Dr. Melissa Johnson Catherine Page, Ph.D., M.P.H., PT , an adjunct faculty member in the HE-D.P.T. Program, has been accepted into the Academy of Advanced Item Writers for the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.
