The Athletic Training Education Program, established in 2003 by Elizabeth Swann, Ph.D., is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education. Athletic training students graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and are eligible to sit for the Board of Certification (BOC) examination. In 2015, the college’s BOC pass rate was 100 percent in the graduating class. Athletic trainers (ATs) are health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnoses, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. Pradeep Vanguri, Ph.D., ATC, serves as the program director along with Megan Colas, Ph.D., ATC, NEMT-B, clinical education director.
