16 • NOVA SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY Students and faculty members from NSU’s College of Health Care Sciences and College of Optometry recently returned from the Fourth Annual Leadership Ireland trip. Several NSU faculty members served as presenters during a daylong workshop focusing on visual impairment and autism at ChildVision, the National Education Centre for Blind Children in Dublin, Ireland. In addition, several faculty members traveled throughout the country to meet with parents on a respite weekend, as well as to assess children in the satellite location of ChildVision located in County Cork. Students met with the center’s administrators, as well as with therapists and orientation and mobility instructors, during their weeklong stay.
