10 | Physician Assistant Program Prospective students are selected by the Committee on Admissions (COA), which considers the overall qualities of each applicant. Areas of consideration include • interpersonal skills • personal motivation • knowledge and understanding of the PA profession • academic performance and level of achievement • life experiences • quality and length of prior health care experience • recommendations/evaluations Requirements for all applicants (unless specifically stated otherwise) include 1. completion of a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or uni- versity, prior to matriculation, with the following GPAs at the time of application and through matriculation • minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale • minimum cumulative science GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale Please note that NSU’s Physician Assistant Program— Jacksonville does not grant advanced standing to matriculants who hold an advanced degree.
