THE ACADEMY The Academy offers a private, tuition-based preschool through grade 1 program for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. It provides an individualized pro- gram, based upon applied behavior analytic principles, focusing on social- communication, behavioral regulation, and independent functioning, across all skill areas. UNICORN CHILDREN’S FOUNDATION CLINICS The Unicorn Children’s Foundation Clinics provide a comprehensive spectrum of services for children and caregivers. Discipline is teaching. Based on the S.T.E.P. (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting) program, this four-week course provides knowledge and practical skills to improve family communication and encourage cooperation. Lead by early childhood specialist Roni Leiderman, Ph.D., dean, parents discuss current challenges and learn effective discipline strategies that encourage self-esteem and mutual respect.
