NSU COLLEGE OF DENTAL MEDICINE © 7 class acts Whitney Howard always knew she wanted to be a doctor, but she was unsure which field she wanted to pursue. After her mother suggested dentistry, Howard, then an under- graduate at the University of Flor- ida, researched the field. The more she learned, the more she liked the idea. Her career choice was made during a campus visit when she “just fell in love” with NSU’s College of Dental Medicine. Four years later, Howard, one of 123 graduates in the college’s class of 2014, is planning to put her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree to work as a general dent- ist.
