Literature Review Workshop (en Español) Javier Garcia Orozco, Ph.D. , FSE Dissertation Chair and Member, Applied Research Center (ARC), North Miami Beach, Florida Tuesday, July 16 10:15 a.m.–noon Grand Republic B Tuesday, July 16 1:30–3:00 p.m. Grand Republic B This workshop will focus on how to effectively describe and discuss prior research within the applied dissertation. Although prior work related to a student’s research question is comprehensively summarized in Chapter 2, it is important to keep in mind that all dissertation chapters will include, to various extents, a careful review of the literature. Therefore, the workshop will provide guidance and examples for each of the five chapters of the applied dissertation with respect to the reviewing of published work. Students will work with their chairs to complete either a draft of the preliminary literature review or a literature review outline.
