4 • Do not needlessly display guest room keys in public or carelessly leave them on restaurant tables, at the swimming pool, or other places where they can be easily stolen. Should you misplace your key, please notify the front desk immediately. • Do not draw attention to yourself by displaying large amounts of cash or expensive jewelry. • Do not invite strangers to your room. • Do place all valuables in the hotel’s safe deposit box. • Do not leave valuables in your vehicle. • Do check to see that any sliding glass doors or windows and any connecting room doors are locked. • Do take a few minutes to locate the nearest exit that may be used in the event of an emergency. • If you see any suspicious activity, please report your observations to the management. • Upon arrival, please notify the front desk if you will require special evacuation assistance in the event of an emergency. Interaction Center A technology enabled interaction center, located in the Ballroom of the Americas B, has been designated for all conference attendees during the hours indicated in the daily schedule. The Interaction Center is available for you to read email, access electronic resources (e.g., library), create or print documents, or request assistance from a technology expert. These services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Members of NSU’s technology staff will be on hand to support the center and are available to help users with technical or informational questions. Access to the center is limited to NSU students only. Student Interaction Center Schedule: (All in Ballroom of the Americas B) Sunday, July 14 11:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m. Monday, July 15 6:30 a.m.–11:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 16 6:30 a.m.–11:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 11 6:30 a.m.–midnight Thursday, July 12 6:00–7:45 a.m. Interaction Center Rules Access • Attendees wishing to use the center must have their summer conference name badge. • Center resources are limited to conference attendees, and NSU faculty and staff members only during the hours specified. Spouses and children are not permitted to use the center. Use of the Interaction Center • Attendees must follow the center rules. • Food and drinks are not permitted in the center. • All attendees using the center are subject to, and expected to abide by, the NSU Acceptable Use of Computing Resources policy. • Attendees are not permitted to download or install any software, files, or inappropriate content on provided laptops. • Center staff members have the authority to ask an attendee to leave if they feel the person is being disruptive, or if the person is failing to follow the rules. • Security will be alerted if an attendee fails to comply with a request to leave. 2013 Conference on Global Leadership, Learning, and Research
