NSU’s Armed Forces Service Plaza Veterans Resource Center (VRC) The Veterans Resource Center is a centralized location specifically designed as a place veterans and military-affiliated students can gather resources, garner support, and gain professional development opportunities. Additionally, VRC staff members help NSU’s veterans and military-affiliated students transition to college, achieve academically, and engage with their communities on and off campus. All of this is done so they can, ultimately, graduate and attain a career. The VRC is located on the first floor of the Carl DeSantis Building. Military Affairs Academic Program (MAAP) NSU has identified premier academic programs that meet the career goals of veterans and military-affiliated students. Check for the most recent list of programs that allow students to maximize available education benefits and work with dedicated veteran advisers, among other benefits. Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) Prospective military physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, optometrists, psychologists, and pharmacists may receive a paid medical education in exchange for service as a commissioned medical officer. Our mission is to recruit and retain quality cadets who would best serve this great nation as U.S. Army officers. We educate and train cadets on army officership, army values, standards, and operations through classes, leadership labs, physical training, and field-training exercises. You will learn firsthand what it takes to lead others, motivate groups, and succeed in any competitive environment from the battlefield to the boardroom.
