B.S. Vision Science M.S. Clinical Vision Research O.D. Optometry COLLEGE OF OPTOMETRY Become a capable, confident optometric physician and dedicate yourself to the preservation and enhancement of the gift of sight. NSU College of Optometry faculty members are eager to share their vast experiences with you while leading you through the wonder of the human visual system. With advanced classroom, laboratory, and clinical technologies, they will guide you on your path to becoming a Doctor of Optometry who will change the lives of patients every day. Starting in your second year of the four-year program, you will begin patient care in one of our five South Florida clinic locations, which are equipped with state-of-the-art technology to provide comprehensive vision care in all areas of optometry. These include contact lenses, diabetes and macular disease, pediatrics/ binocular vision, vision therapy, myopia control, vision rehabilitation, sports vision, glaucoma, dry eye, and electrodiagnostics. Your optometric education is enhanced with opportunities to participate in applied clinical research, community service, and international medical outreach trips. You may choose to seek a concurrent degree, such as M.P.H. or M.B.A., or to complete a postgraduate program such as an M.S. DEGREES OFFERED in Clinical Vision Research or an optometric residency. All of this takes place in a multidisciplinary setting, where the vibrant student culture nurtures an atmosphere of enthusiasm and cooperation.
