2021 NSU Fact Book

108 NOVA SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY Student Enrollment As mentioned in the 2020 Historical Highlights of this Fact Book, in the fall of 2020, NSU merged the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) and the Halmos College of Natural Sciences and Oceanography into the new, combined Halmos College of Arts and Sciences and the Guy Harvey Oceanographic Research Center (HCAS). Additionally, the Department of Family Therapy was renamed the Department of Couple and Family Therapy. The new Halmos College of Arts and Sciences included all programs from the original colleges except the following, which moved to the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine: • Certificate in Family Studies • Certificate in Solution-Focused Coaching • B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies • M.S. in Couple and Family Therapy (formerly Family Therapy) • Doctor of Marriage and Family Therapy • Ph.D. in Couple and Family Therapy (formerly Family Therapy) and the M.S. in College Student Affairs, which moved to the Abraham S. In winter 2020, the sole program in the College of Medical Sciences, the Master of Biomedical Sciences, moved to the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine, effectively dissolving the former college. Table 3 reflects this change retroactively. Table 3 documents changes in enrollment by college over the past five years.
