94 NOVA SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY O ce of Undergraduate Admissions The O ce of Undergraduate Admissions guides and supports students through all of the processes related to enrolling in undergraduate programs at the univer- sity. The o ce works closely with all undergraduate academic programs, the O ce of Financial Aid, and other campus o ces that are relevant to undergradu- ate admissions. The o ce also participates in numer- ous college admission fairs, hosts school counselors on campus, provides campus tours through student ambassadors, and maintains an active national and international student recruitment schedule. O ce of International A airs The O ce of International A‚airs (OIA) serves as a base for the university’s international initiatives, international student services, international risk management travel registration procedures, and undergraduate international recruitment and admis- sions. The o ce includes the O ce of International Students and Scholars (OISS), the O ce of Education Abroad (OEA), and the O ce of International Under- graduate Admissions (OIUGA). The OIA also provides ongoing assistance and support for all members of the university community engaged in campus inter- nationalization, global partnerships and exchanges, and other globalization e‚orts. • The O ce of International Students and Scholars (OISS) provides immigration, orientation, counseling, and overall assistance to all new and continuing international students, visiting scholars, and faculty members on and o‚ campus. • The O ce of Education Abroad (OEA) provides comprehensive assistance to those students (domes- tic and international) who want to travel overseas and experience an academic semester, summer, or year abroad. • The O ce of International Undergraduate Student Admissions (OIUGA) provides comprehensive international student recruitment and admission support for prospective international students. The OIA is committed to welcoming international stu- dents, scholars, and their families while facilitating their transition to life at Nova Southeastern University. The team is also committed to providing domestic students with the services they need to fulfill their global and international interests through study- abroad opportunities. O ce of Orientation The O ce of Orientation focuses on providing positive and smooth transitions into the university and college life for new NSU students. Orientation, a multiple-day program facilitated by student orientation leaders prior to the beginning of the fall term, gives new students and their families information and resources that pro- vide a foundation for a successful start to the student’s academic pursuits. The o ce also provides a separate orientation for nursing students on the Fort Lauder- dale/Davie Campus and the Fort Myers and Miami Campuses. In addition, the o ce provides orientation programs for transfer and online students. O ce of Undergraduate Academic Advising The O ce of Undergraduate Academic Advising pro- vides comprehensive academic support services that assist students to achieve their academic goals. These services include academic planning, course sequencing and prerequisites, academic preparation for graduate and professional schools, and class registration. Student A airs | College of Undergraduate Studies Division of Student A‚airs and the College of Undergraduate Studies provide students with numerous services and cocurricular learning opportunities that are conducive to student growth, development, and engagement and lead to graduation. Administered by the O ce of the Vice President of Student A‚airs and the dean of the College of Undergraduate Studies, the following o ces comprise the division.
