2024 FACT BOOK 113 Recent Enrollment Trends After reaching a peak enrollment of more than 29,000 students in fall 2009, changes in the economy, undergraduate admissions standards, and educational demands in certain areas have driven a period of steady enrollment reductions to 20,435 students in fall 2018 (Figure 2), although enrollment increased marginally since 2018. Similarly, full-time equivalent (FTE) has also increased from 17,431 in 2019 to 18,393 in 2023. (Figure 3). Undergraduate enrollment increased 27 percent from 2019 to 2023 (Figure 2). This pattern is also reflected in FTE (Figures 3–4). Moreover, of more than 1,600 private, four-year, not-for-profit institutions nationally, Nova Southeastern University ranked 21st. When compared with the total number of students enrolled at Florida nonprofit, private four-year institutions in 2022, 11 percent were enrolled at Nova Southeastern University.
