Grades At the completion of each course, the course director will have the responsibility for posting students’ grades in Canvas and submitting grades to the college’s Office for Academic Affairs. Successful completion of each CDM course requires compliance with the CDM Code of Behavioral Conduct. Each department has also established criteria to achieve grade levels in the respective department. This information is available to students from each of the college’s academic departments. As such, the M.D.S. grade format is the following: Percentage Range Letter Grade Equivalent on 4.0 Scale 93–100 A 4.00 90 to < 93 A- 3.75 86 to < 90 B+ 3.50 83 to < 86 B 3.00 80 to < 83 B- 2.75 76 to < 80 C+ 2.50 70 to < 76 C 2.00 < 70 F 0.00 7. Withdrawal Withdrawal is a voluntary resignation by the student, in writing, to the dean via certified mail, or NSU-to-NSU email, under which the student surrenders all rights and privileges as a student in the M.D.S. Additionally, a student who does not register and/or attend classes, laboratory, for three consecutive business days (excluding official school holidays and weekends) without written notification to the dean’s office regarding the reason for the absence as well as the intention to continue studies, shall be considered withdrawn from the program. A student’s written withdrawal or an absence of three consecutive business days without written notification to the dean’s office is considered as permanent withdrawal and not reversible. To withdraw from the program, the student must also contact the Office of CDM Student Services to complete the required documents. • Students withdrawing from the program before the end of the drop/add period has ended, as published by the NSU Office of the University Registrar, will have the courses of that same semester removed from the student’s transcript. • Students withdrawing from the program after the drop/add period, as published by the NSU Office of the University Registrar, will receive a transcript notation of withdrawn (W) for courses in that same semester on the student’s transcript. • Students withdrawing from the program without submitting and/or completing the required documentation may receive a failing grade for the courses in the semester during which they are withdrawing.
