6 Our on-site client clinics bring the study of law to life for you. Clinics are designed to model the day-to-day operations of actual law firms and include 16 open-area student work stations, a reception area for clients, and six private conference rooms. ON-SITE CLINICS | Making a Difference Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AIDD) Law Clinic — A dvocate on behalf of clients with disabilities to protect their rights in areas of public benefits, employment, education, government services, private business accommodations, housing, guardian advocacy, and guardianship counseling. Learn from renowned judges, legal professionals, advocates, and representatives for individuals with special needs at the annual AIDD Roundtable and Conference. Children and Families Law Clinic — Represent low-income individuals in cases involving divorce, paternity, injunctions, child support, custody, alimony, property division, relocation, return of parentally abducted children, and the legal rights of children and parents. Field placements are available throughout the United States. Dispute Resolution Clinic —B ecome a Florida Supreme Court Certified County Court Mediator, learn about dispute resolution options, and hone dispute resolution skills for matters including juvenile diversions referred by the Office of the State Attorney. Sharon and Mitchell W. Berger Entrepreneur Clinic — Direct legal services for entrepreneurs and small businesses, nonprofit organizations, NSU students, and researchers associated with the NSU Center for Collaborative Research, as well as innovators in technology, life science, and the creative communities. Field placements are available throughout the United States.
