( law.nova.edu ) q Request Information from NSU Law and schedule a visit. ( law.nova.edu ) q Open an account with the LSAC. ( LSAC.org ) q Register for LSAC’s Credential Assembly Service. ( LSAC.org ) q Register and take the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT). ( LSAC.org * ) q NSU Law recommends taking the LSAT before February for scholarship consideration. q September : NSU Law’s online application becomes available. ( LSAC.org ) q October : FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Application opens. • School code: 001509 ( studentaid.gov ) q November : Admissions decisions will begin to be made. q February–April : Admitted students events occur. q March 15 : Preferred deadline to apply for NSU Law first-year scholarships. q April 15 : First-seat deposit deadline. q May : Spring graduates need to finalize their transcripts and submit to LSAC. q July : Summer graduates need to finalize their transcripts and submit to LSAC. q August : Orientation and first week of law school begin. q Submit at least two letters of recommendation using the LSAC Letter of Recommendation (LOR). • One LOR must be from an academic source, if you are currently enrolled in school or graduated in the past year. • NSU Law will accept up to three LORs. q Write and submit a personal statement of your original work, describing and supporting • your interest in law study • your skills and qualifications • your case for admission q Submit a diversity statement (optional). • One-page document describing how your diverse background and experiences would make you stand out as an applicant or add to the discourse in class discussions. q Submit a résumé, attached to your electronic application, that includes relevant work and educational experience.
