The forensic services offered at CFI include, but are not limited to: competency evaluations, downward departure evaluations, forensic consultation, mental state at the time of the offense, psychosexual evaluations, psychological assessments, risk assessments, sexual offender-specific psychotherapy. Opportunities are available to observe court testimony by Dr. Butts. Our clinical services focus on the prevention and treatment of psychologically based distress, while promoting subjective well-being and personal development. The clinical services offered at CFI include, but are not limited to: individual psychotherapy, group and individual sexual offender treatment, and psychoeducational groups (substance abuse, shoplifting, anger management, john diversion). 15-20 hours Mandatory Training Sessions: Mandatory training sessions prior to starting the practicum. The training will consist of an orientation on working within this forensic setting as well as on conducting competency evaluations. Required Training Prerequisites: They should be adequately trained in intelligence and personality testing including administration, scoring, interpreting, and writing of results. Students will also be required to complete an interview prior to being accepted at our site. Suggested prerequisites: Students should be reliable and dependable. They need to adhere to and maintain boundaries as well as confidentiality. They need to be able to work independently and complete time-sensitive psychological assessments in an efficient manner.
