Associate Dean of Undergraduate, Graduate, and Community Education Room 1403/Ext. 21628 The associate dean of Undergraduate, Graduate, and Community Education provides oversight and promotes the development of the undergraduate, graduate, and community programs for the KPCOM. Arif M. Rana, Ph.D., Ed.S., M.S., M.P.H., M.A. Associate Professor Chair, Department of Health Informatics Director, Health Informatics Room 1213/Ext. 21619 The director oversees program planning and development, directs the implementation of program policies and procedures, assures the implementation of the program, and coordinates the tracking and advising of students enrolled in courses offered in the college. Mission Statement The mission of the Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Department of Health Informatics is to provide students with an interdisciplinary, skills-based education in biomedical informatics. These graduates will enable health care organizations to maximize the capture and utilization of data to improve patient safety and care and to reduce health care expenditures. Vision The vision of the Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Department of Health Informatics is to graduate students who have acquired the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to be successful in future informatics careers. Graduates will be highly sought after and actively recruited by health care organizations.
