Stetson Uni-
versity 2012
Outstanding Young Alumni
Award, which is presented to
alumni who are 35 years of age
or younger. The award recog-
nizes contributions to society, to
a profession, or to Stetson Uni-
versity. Recipients must dem-
onstrate significant accomplish-
ment or promise in areas such
as leadership or civic, cultural,
or charitable involvement.
Victoria M. Dreisbach, D.O.
(’97), who was named a distin-
guished fellow of the Ameri-
can Psychiatric Association in
2012, is working as a forensic
psychiatrist in Connecticut.
She also serves as a clinical as-
sistant professor of psychiatry
at Yale University School of
Medicine, where she complet-
ed both her residency training
in psychiatry and fellowship
training in forensic psychiatry.
Jeffrey Grove, D.O.
(’90)
recently funded an endowed
scholarship for NSU-COM
students seeking financial
aid. OMS-II Diondra Burney
was the recipient of a $2,000
scholarship, with $1,000 com-
ing from the Jeffrey and Karen
Grove Scholarship along with
an additional $1,000 from the
alumni-endowed scholarship.

currently serves as chief
resident in general surgery at
Grandview Medical Center
in Dayton, Ohio, and is about
to enter a trauma and surgi-
cal critical care fellowship at
the Orlando Regional Medical
Center in Florida.
John D. Siddens, D.O., FAOCO
(’86) left private practice after
20 years to join the Greenville
Hospital System’s University
Medical Group plastic surgery
practice. In his new position, Dr.
Siddens also serves as clinical
associate professor of surgery
and ophthalmology at the new
University of South Carolina
School of Medicine - Greenville.
In addition, he accepted an
invitation to become a visiting
professor and provide oph-
thalmology lectures to medical
students at the new Edward Via
College of Osteopathic Medi-
cine – Carolinas Campus in
Spartanburg, South Carolina.
