Common Fund’s “Enhancing
Diversity in the NIH-Funded
Workforce” program aimed
at supporting innovative and
transformative approaches to
increase the diversity of the
biomedical workforce.

Fellow of the American Acad-
emy of Osteopathy (FAAO).
This honor, which makes her

living FAAO, was con-
ferred during the AAO’s Con-
vocation held March 19-23 in
Colorado Springs, Colorado.
She also presented a two-day
pre-convocation workshop for
the AAO entitled “The Osteo-
pathic Approach to Common
ENT Complaints in Children,”
was invited to judge the
Louisa Burns Osteopathic
Research Poster Competition,
and was designated as presi-
dent elect of the AAO.

innovative children’s cotton
candy-scented sunscreen gel
named Lickady-Split. Fueled
by the need for a safe and
protective product that kids
will want to use, Dr. Shecter
spent two years developing
the product with a chemist.
